Chloe’s Tallit

Chloe came with her vision of a white and pink feminine tallit. She chose an ivory color dupioni silk for the body, rose pink dupioni silk for the stripes, and a turquoise dupioni for the corners and atarah.

When Chloe was born, her friends and relatives each gave her a piece of fabric from something that was special to them. We made bits of these fabrics into a stripe and put it onto the back piece of the tallit. (Thank you Amy for your beautiful piecing work!) I have photos of the back side, too, hoping that she sometimes wears it “inside out”.
