Theo’s Silver Tallit

Theo chose a stunning silver dupioni (that fringed black) for his tallit, and a beautiful royal blue and a black to use as stripes. The corners and atarah were black with the same royal blue thread for the embroideries on 2 of the corners. The other 2 corners were Lions of Judah, embroidered with 2 colors of metallic gold and a metallic silver thread.

Theo wanted the Austin skyline on his atarah. We found a slightly abstract one, with bats flying between the buildings, and used it to border the Shema. The Shema was embroidered in a silver thread to match the fabric, and the Austin skyline was embroidered in the matching blue, with gold for the windows.
