Maxwell D.’s Tallit

Max, with the help of his mom, created his unique design. The body of the tallit was a pale blue silk dupioni. Each side had a navy band sewn on with designs that were about Max. One side of the tallit had an ornately embroidered scimitar with the the quote ” A complete healing from the heavens” in Hebrew. The other side had an ornate embroidered circle, with a star of David, and inside that, 2 Kohanim hands appliquéd on. There was a quote from his parsha on the top of the circle. 

Max used his grandfather’s atarah, sewn onto a navy dupioni silk, and we matched the white fabric and gold thread of the atarah in his corners, which were white on navy.
