Sam’s tallit
Sam wanted a man blowing a shofar with notes floating out above Jerusalem. He wanted earth tones, and nothing too bright. Through many emails, he chose his sky, the land, the fabrics for J-m and the rocks. After that was all appliquéd down, I embroidered the notes emanating from the shofar, and added more notes to the atarah. Some of these photos I took while the tallit was in process to email to Sam and his mom, auditioning various fabrics for sky, ground, buildings,….
We also embroidered some floating notes on his atarah….
