Sara’s Ivory Tallit

Sara wanted an ivory colored tallit with rose and gold adornments. It was a gift from her grandparents, and they let her design exactly what she wanted.

She chose an ivory dupioni for the base, and rose colored silk and metallic gold threads to create a vine – similar to the one on Stella’s tallit, which she loved.

Her atarah read L’dor va dor in a tall slender font, embroidered in the gold thread on the rose silk as did her 4 corners on which she had her name in Hebrew and English, the date of her Bat Mitzvah, a chamsa with a star of David in it, and a larger star of David with a chai in it. The ends of her atarah were adorned with trees of life.
