Julia’s Ocean, Earth and Galaxy tallit

Julia wanted her tallit to depict the beginning of the Creation story. 

She chose an off white silk matka for the body, and found the perfect fabrics depicting the ocean, earth and the galaxies on Spoonflower.com which we turned into 3 stripes. Between the stripes, we sewed on a purple ribbon that matched one of the purples in the prints.

We also luckily found the exact color of the ribbon in a dupioni silk, which we used behind the navy dupioni silk to create Julia’s beautiful corners and atarah.
