Solomon’s Barrel Wave Tallit

#imagebox#

Solomon came with his wonderful grandparents to spend an afternoon designing his tallit. He chose vibrant colors and being a surfer, asked if he could have a barrel wave on his tallit, with a beach and sunset sky. I found some beautiful silks for his ocean, and somehow came across a stretchy soft wool that worked for the foam. His Zayde also requested “Solomon’s temple” on one of the corners. You can see for yourself how gorgeous his combination of colors is: the deep teal blue that he chose for the body, the purple stripe below the scene, the red and charcoal corners and atarah, and the embroidery done with a deep gold thread. On the ends of his atarah, Solomon asked for this specific Star of David with a chai in the middle. This tallit is truly unique.
