Myles’s Traditional Tallit

Myles wanted a traditional looking tallit, using the colors of the New York Rangers. This was a gift to him from his family who live locally, so his cousin Tally came over and chose a beautiful white silk/wool blend fabric for the body, and the dupioni silk fabrics for the red and blue stripes.

He wanted 5 stripes of varying widths. The center stripe was the widest with a metallic silver thread couched in the center. Silver metallic thread was used for the text on the atarah and corners, to match.

As Myles’s Hebrew name is Mordecai, he chose a very appropriate quote from the Book of Esther about Mordechai for his atarah.
