Isaiah’s African fabric tallit

Isaiah wanted a tallit made from an African fabric. I found this stunning mudcloth fabric, took photos of it from the store, and Isaiah said that he loved it.

All it needed was to be trimmed up, to have binding put around all the rough edges, and to have corners, atarah and tzitzit.

He chose a black dupioni silk that we embroidered with an antique gold embroidery thread for the atarah and corners, and instead of traditional kosher white tzitzit, he wanted black and gold tzitzit to match the tallit.
