Ilan’s Oak Tree Tallit

Ilan wanted an oak tree on his tallit (as his name means oak tree), and designed a 72 (chai x 4) leaf tree to be appliqued and embroidered on the back of his stunning silk tallit. He had 8 double corners and chose to have embroidered his name, his brother’s name and his parents’ names. On the other side were 2 stars of David, an acorn for Ilan, and a pinecone for Oren, his brother. Tikkun Olam was embroidered in large metallic letters on his atarah.
